Another awesome report from the U14s this weekend! Keep it up lads!

...There’s a habit developing with this team at the moment, and it’s a good habit, 2020 maybe perfect vision, but 2020 in the eyes of these boys equates to, 2 games, 89 points scored, 5 points conceded!

Yet another tremendous win to their names today as they ran out 58-5 winners against a Brynmawr side, who we’d never played before.
We had 19 players available today out of our squad of 24, and once again everyone stepped up to the plate.

From the off the boys were effective, George Vaughan opened the scoring with a close range effort after some good forward play in the tight, which Ben Williams duly converted, the ever dynamic Morgan Wright, chipped in with the second, before our 2 centres worked perfectly in tandem to score our 3rd, Jamie Ryzy harrying and putting his opposite number under pressure, which allowed a pass to Iwan James, who injected some tremendous gas to run from his own half to touch down.
It was great to see the other units working well too, Ben Owen, Ollie Phipps and Lucas Russell, performing well as a front row, and George, Aled Lewis and Harvey Picton especially, making up a superb triumvirate in the back row.
Aled chipped in with 2 tries and Harvey with 3 to add to George’s earlier score which made 6 tries in total for the back row!

Then came ‘That Try’
“Fred Roach covering, chased by Brynmawr, brilliant, oh that’s brilliant, Jamie Ryzy, Iwan James, Ben Owen, Harvey Picton great dummy, Wright, Morgan Wright, the halfway line, brilliant by Aled Lewis, this is Archie Gidden, a dramatic run, what a score!!”
Well that’s how I remember it, and quite a few supporters did too!!
With the clock ticking down to the end of the game, there was still time for Jamie to finish off proceedings with a well worked try.
