March 24th U15's match report

Machen U15s came, saw, dismantled and destroyed. With a few lads unavailable, 18 lads still rocked up for the 3rd encounter of the season against our closest neighbours Bedwas.

We challenged the lads to perform from minute 1 and give the massive support on the touchline a performance to be proud of. Fair play, Machen's avid supporters (every man and his dog) were not to be disappointed and it took just over a minute for the lads to open the scoring. Machen were ruthless and didn't look back and just piled on the pressure. As Bedwas were being put to the sword with less than 15 minutes gone and upon reaching 30 points Machen opted not to take conversions to try and prolong the game as much as possible so as not to fall foul of the clear 50 point rule too soon. Unfortunately, it only lasted 23 minutes and Machen posted 51 unanswered points.

Credit to Bedwas who wanted to continue, but the 50 point rule prevents any further play.

A totally professional performance and the most pleasing aspect was the support play from everyone. Sterner tests in the next few weeks are to come.

That's the treble and bragging rights again.

10/10 👏👏👏

Scorers:
Tries - Josh Hart x2, Leo Quigley x2, Gethyn Cannon, Logan George, Harry Hawthorne, with James Davies and Bailey Braithwaite scoring their 1st of the season.
Con - Bailey x3
