Moving onto the UNDER 13's and match report curtesy of Stephen Hart
What can I say. Very happy coaches and team manager today. Boys were outstanding today. Attacking play was excellent and defence was even better.

We've challenged the boys to perform from now until the end of the season and told them the result doesn't matter, but it'll look after itself if they give everything and play for each other. On that note the backs and forwards gave everything, emptied the tank and played for each other in an truly impressive and convincing 39-5 win against a gutsy die hard Abercynon side who kept going until the end. Try scorers were Josh Hart with 3 to take him past 100 points this season, Logan George with 2 who has an impressive strike rate of almost a try a game since joining us, Ieuan John with a perfectly well executed new lineout training move and Ben Rudge who started the scoring. Declan Nott adding 2 conversion.

Declan Nott and Rob Arnold controlled the game impressively from 9 & 10 and Gethyn Cannon was ever present to give the lads go forward ball.

Man of the match was Josh Hart but a special mention to Aaron Gomer who once again gave his all and has improved immensely this season.

And now to the UNDER 16's with the match report from Darren Littlewood
Our U16s stretched their unbeaten run to 15 weeks with a derby win over local rivals Penallta.
The boys started with a bang and we're 14-0 up after 10 minutes.
They then decided to get into an arm wrestle for the next 30 minutes where both sides went at it hammer n tongs. The superior stubbornness and fitness of the Machen boys eventually winning through to score a further 4 tries in the last 15 mins.
Final score 38-0 to Machen. Boys also had double helpings of food after the game due to no opposition coming back!
Tries: Ieuan Williams x2, Joseph Rogers, Jack Pardoe, Harry Ruck, Ethan Harris (60 yards).
Cons: Arron Billingham x3. Oliver Kinky

Top effort from all!!!
